Contests Housing Week Contest #8 Housing Week in Middle-Earth News

You’ve waited patiently and here they are !

After a week and a half of visits and votes, it is time to present the results of the 8th edition of Housing Week in Middle Earth !

Again I would like to thank all of the participants for this competition. Whether you were chosen for the final round or not, I hope you decide to participate again in future contests.

I would also like to take this opportunity to thank my wonderful members of the jury who have accompanied me for this contest, again ! :).

Votes

I gathered all the data and there were a total of 103 in the ballot box (new record!). Congratulations and thank you again !

As a reminder, the final score for each house is obtained by the average weighted score of the public (70%) and the jury (30%). The jury, alone, designates the winner of the Jury Prize: "Expert Gardener".

The results

Without further ado, here are the top five :

# 5 - Atomic Dog

Audience average: 7.34 - Jury average: 6.75 - Final score: 7.16

Kaels:

"A strange mix of genres, so many dragons among the dwarves after our last adventures! The set combines several different styles, I particularly appreciated the floor decoration."

# 4 - Country of Towns

Audience average: 6.89 - Jury average: 8.125 - Final score: 7.263

Prunaprismia:

"Can we love a garden just because of wild boar defections? I say yes. More seriously, the small market is very nice, it makes the garden alive (and fragrant)! Big crush on the inside that is really festive, warm (special mention at the playhouse, it's super original and cute). The ingeniously assembled bookcases and the bar are also very successful, it proves a great mastery of moving furniture!"

Kaels:

"This house is simply adorable!, a very nice mix of housing items!"

# 3 - Domaine de Glaceroche

Audience average: 7.269 - Jury average: 7.25 - Final score: 7.264

Prunaprismia:

"Very pretty garden, I like the mix of trees and snow! The interior is simply beautiful, a beautiful theater as we would certainly see in Dol Amroth. Ingenious idea to have closed the room of the top, it allows the rooms of the bottom to be so pleasantly full 🙂 The result is really very successful."

Yao:

"What a pretty house! The inner scene is simply bluffing and beautifully done. A perfect home for RP activities. Bravo."

# 2 - La Maison Durefer

Audience average: 6.73 - Jury average: 8.64 - Final score: 7.30

Prunaprismia:

"The garden is varied, I particularly liked the wooded part. The interior is also very beautiful, especially with the gorgeous piece of the top (congratulations for the idea of the round table!) which throws solemnity. The lower floor with the pool is also very nice, I appreciated the original layout of the trophies. And finally, my little crush is the secret laboratory :D"

Edward:

"Majestic decoration and privileged garden!"

Yao:

"The upper room is just awesome, I have no other words, and the rest of the house is equal. Congratz!"

# 1 - Treasure

Audience average: 7.73 - Jury average: 8.37 - Final score: 7.92

Edward:

"Very original!"

Yao:

"An orginal house, for sure! I do not even know how the idea of such a decoration can come to the mind of the creator but I admit that this house, even if it was not my favorite, made me smile during my visit . Bravo!"

Prunaprismia:

"This house is the UFO of this contest! I salute the deed of having been able to recreate this kind of "haunted house" (and especially with steps and a fall!) which presents itself in museum of Geoles de Naerband (it feels like Mrs. Tussauds :D). Ambience, talent, what more? Impossible to describe, I urge people to go see it IG ! BRAVO"

Kaels :

"The excellent surprise of this adventure! Original, very well thought with the story of the black book of Mordor that sticks very well to the staging. Dark, but a favorite and my first 10/10 on D&Co du Milieu."

I extend my congratulations to the winners of the 8th bi-annual Housing Week in Middle Earth :).

Jury Prize

Finally, the Jury Prize, « Free Peoples Gardener », which goes to the home with the most beautiful garden.

With 3 votes among the jury, we decided to award this prize to Vasin and Hlifa.
A garden without any equivalence that was very pleasing to the eye. Bravo !

The rewards :

You'll receive your rewards on Monday !

And so end the first edition of Housing Week in Middle Earth of 2019. See you at the end of the year, for new contest and other funny things :). In the meantime, enjoy your summer and take care !

  1. In the previous post you stated that the unselected houses will be presented too with or after the results being given. Did i read something into it which wasn’t meant or are those still coming? Congratulations to the winners thanks to all for the effort put in.
    Best regards, Bubikopf from Belegaer
