You’ve waited patiently and here they are !
After a week and a half of visits and votes, it is time to present the results of the 14th edition of Housing Week in Middle Earth !
Again I would like to thank all of the participants for this competition. Whether you were chosen for the final round or not, I hope you decide to participate again in future contests.
I would also like to take this opportunity to thank my wonderful members of the jury who have accompanied me for this contest, again ! :).
Votes
I gathered all the data and there were a total of 96 votes in the ballot box. Congratulations and thank you again !
As a reminder, the final score for each house is obtained by the average weighted score of the public (60%) and the jury (40%). Scenario, alone, designates the winner of Scenario's Choice.
The results
Top 3
#3 - Aquarium of Middle-Earth
Audience average: 7.09 - Jury average: 7.40 - Final score: 7.21
Prunaprismia:
"In this house, we find a very intelligent use of eclectic decorations (and not necessarily always pretty), but which assembled between them by the decorator form a fabulous aquarium where we take pleasure in strolling and admiring some of the finds hidden in the decor."
Kaels:
"We're not going to lie, we love original concepts and this one is!
The use of bushes, fish trophies, wall plants (which are otherwise always very ugly) combined with smart lighting locations brings the whole thing to life.
A success, bravo!"
Yao:
"Honestly, the only issue I see with this house is that it's too small! I would have like to see that acquarium in a premium house to see how far you could go! Kudos!"
Scenario:
"Really inventive use of decorations to create a strong consistent theme throughout!"
#2 - Utulie'n Aure
Audience average: 7.72 - Jury average: 6.95 - Final score: 7.41
Prunaprismia:
"A sophisticated and very original description that reflects the image of the house.
What a work of atmosphere on the garden, it is very successful! The interior is super original, full of awful ideas (poor NPC's who are full of it), and extremely playful, it's a house that you have to visit absolutely !
In short, an abundant imagination served by an inpeccable realization, thank you for this moment, and bravo :)"
Edward:
"The garden is quite successful in telling the story of the island.
I had to do and redo all the corridors to be sure to have seen everything. You lose your sense of direction, the success of the maze is there. And there again the small horrific set make their effect with not much."
Scenario:
"Beautifully moody landscape portion and a great diversity of designs inside."
#1 - The Crazy Animals
Audience average: 7.39 - Jury average: 7.50 - Final score: 7.43
Prunaprismia:
"So many good ideas in this house! The perseptive is totally changed, we totally forget that we are in Falathlorn (yes, it's a positive point :p). The bar is the most beautiful that I have ever seen (and we start to see it often...), and presents original ideas, as well by the arrangement of the furniture as by some finds (the footrest, magnificent).
The main room is also magnificent, very warm! We want to see more, the stairs that lead to nothing are so frustrating XD A very big congratulations to you!"
Kaels:
"The effect of the bar as you enter the house is striking, it is very well done with the use of shelves as stools, the upholstery bars as footrests and the lighting! A success!
The whole is very well done, and we want to see more, we really forget we have entered an Elven house.
We would really like to see more and have other rooms to explore, bravo!"
Yao:
"I don't really like Falathlorn houses, in general. But you gave me some ideas to create my own Falathlorn kin house now! Thank you! Amazing work."
Edward:
"Beautiful pieces of water in this garden which knows how to emphasize the house.
Here also the sense of detail is pushed. The volumes are well used, the layout is out of the ordinary. The bar is particularly successful."
I extend my congratulations to the winners of the 14th Housing Week in Middle Earth :).
